I didn't know if you are aware of this...

The DEAL lab and CIT on East Campus have a Content Management System for web pages that they implemented at the beginning of 2006. I believe that it uses Lenya, but I only use the system, I don't have anything to do with the technical end of it.

http://citcms.unl.edu/index.html

The folks at CIT that I've been working with are Gary Zhu and Lana Johnson.

So far, 3 departments and a number of smaller projects on East Campus are using this system.

Hope this helps,

I'm curious to know what CMSs departments on campus have tried, tested, and may be using for their websites now. The Libraries is looking into CMSs and we have some ideas, but would like to know what others have experienced up to this point.

We're discussing this in a Web Advisory subcommittee right now. LifeRay, Joomla and Drupal have been mentioned so far. Candidates?

It looks like CMS systems have been researched for at least 4 years now. Is there any progress on a new CMS system for the 2009 template release? I'm learning Drupal right now, but am interested in any UNL wide system that may be implemented.

Four years is all? Mark Askren, the new CIO, views this as Important. I think it has new life. But from my POV, it needs to exist alongside the CWIS server as part of a suite of 'free' hosting services. Asked the question at last WDN meeting, not one of the 35 or so present indicated that they'd be willing to pay for the service.
