BIOGRAPHY

Judy Anderson is marking her 24th year with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, with the past 18 being on university communication’s Publications and Photography team. Her main responsibility is editing the Undergraduate Bulletin and the Graduate Studies Bulletin. She also publishes the UNL Student Directory and three Commencement and Doctoral Hooding programs each year.

This year, she has also added the New Faculty brochure, Promotion and Tenure brochure, and the Honor’s Convocation program to that list, as well as becoming the final proofreader for her office. Judy currently serves as the department’s unlicensed psychologist, a resource for any office or personal supplies (aspirin, band-aids, gum, chocolate) and the go-to gal for ancient policy questions.

Judy is also very involved with the University's office professionals group, UNOPA, having served on the board of directors for seven years, and the Nebraska affiliate, NEOPA, in which she is serving her fifth year on the board. However, her passion is performing and she is seen regularly in musical theatre productions on the Loft at the Mill stage, at the Beatrice Community Players theatre, and at the James Arthur Vineyard's Wine & Broadway Cabaret series. She is the lead vocalist for the Lou Arnold Orchestra, and for the Jubilee Band and choir at United Lutheran Church.

Not to leave any spare time, she is also working with a group of friends to start a rhythm & blues band. She has two grown children and four grandchildren who live only blocks from her home....if not IN her home. If she had any spare time, she would like to finish some of the numerous cross-stitch projects she has started and do more antiquing and decorating.
