BIOGRAPHY

After working as a reporter and copyeditor at newspapers in Hastings and Lincoln, Kim joined UNL in December 1988 as a communicator for the College of Arts and Sciences. She later joined University Communications (then called University Information).

She has worked on a number of projects including Premiere magazine (former program magazine for the Lied Center for Performing Arts), Nebraska magazine, the Scarlet, and publications for the Office of Research and the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Among her duties are newswriting and copywriting, copyediting, speech writing and event planning.

A native Nebraskan, Kim is a third-generation NU alumna. She and her spouse, Tom White (communications manager for Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery), have two dogs and a cat. They enjoy gardening, Major League Baseball and Husker athletics.
